The period between 1030 and 1060 was a period of serious political crisis in the Catalan counties. A revolt of the magnates against the county power with the aim of building a new social and political regime. The establishment and consolidation of feudalism led the Church to ally itself with the count in order not to remain on the margins of power. As a result of this pact, the Assemblies of Peace and Truce of God were established in all the Catalan counties.
