The energy and climate crises have been at the center of the debate for years and this coming December 22nd will be the topic of 11Onze’s Fintech Talks. How can we apply energy efficiency in our homes, at work and in our communities? Celia Galera, CEO of Habitat Futura is one of the promoters of the efficient islands of Barcelona and will explain to attendees what benefits energy efficiency brings us.

The appointment is in the bookstore of the exclusive Juno House in Barcelona and the talk will be from 10 am to 11:30 am. To attend, it is necessary to make a reservation here.

The talk will be moderated by 11Onze District director Gemma Vallet and will be the seventh session of Fintech Talks. The last one featured Onze CEO James Sène and addressed the Great Reset of the economy, a crucial talk to understand what is happening on an economic level.

A key topic

Becoming more energy efficient involves an economically viable reduction in the energy required to meet society’s energy needs. In other words, if we are more efficient, we will reduce energy loss and, therefore, guarantee our standard of living by being less polluting. And, as a collateral effect, we will save. It is therefore, at the present time, very important to be energy efficient. According to the International Energy Agency, improved energy efficiency in buildings, industrial processes and transport could reduce the world’s energy needs by a third by 2050. It is therefore an essential tool for combating climate change.
