We live in a time when it is increasingly difficult to make it to the end of the month. Prices rise, wages do not keep up, and the general feeling is clear: money is worth less. But\u2026 what if it were not a system error? What if inflation were, in fact, a silent tool of revenue collection? This article raises an uncomfortable but necessary question: who really benefits from inflation?<\/b><\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n

For years, inflation has been presented as an inevitable phenomenon. A side effect of economic growth, <\/span>a technical variable that central banks must manage with more or less success<\/b>. But this theoretical view clashes directly with everyday reality, where public perception is much more tangible and immediate.<\/span><\/p>\n

This phenomenon is not accidental. It has deep roots that must be understood in order to grasp the magnitude of the problem. Since the end of the gold standard in 1971, <\/span>currencies have ceased to be backed by tangible assets and have become fiat money<\/b>, meaning their value depends solely on trust in the government that issues them. This paradigm shift has opened the door to an almost unlimited capacity for money creation by central banks, profoundly altering the rules of the economic game.<\/span><\/p>\n

When the money supply increases, the value of existing money is diluted. It is a simple but powerful idea: <\/span>if there is more money in circulation to represent the same wealth, each unit is worth less<\/b>. This is the basis of structural inflation. And in a highly indebted system, this dynamic is not an anomaly, but a necessity. Inflation allows the real value of debt to be reduced, sustains public spending, and avoids unpopular political decisions. The result is a disturbing paradox. <\/span>You work more, you earn more in nominal terms, but you have less purchasing power and, in addition, you pay more taxes<\/b>. This dynamic fits within an extractive economic system, where the rules favor centers of power to the detriment of the majority. In this context, inflation ceases to be a system error and becomes a structural feature.<\/span><\/p>\n
