Just a week ago,<\/span> the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the trading of ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds)<\/b> linked to bitcoin spot (remember that Bitcoin futures ETFs were already allowed). The green light from the US regulator boosts the popularisation of crypto-asset investment through traditional markets.<\/span><\/p>\n

These new <\/span>Bitcoin ETFs have accumulated 95,000 BTC in the first six days of trading<\/b>. ETFs from Fidelity (FBTC) and BlackRock (IBIT) <\/span>lead<\/span><\/a> the market with over $1.2 billion in inflows each. But what are Bitcoin ETFs?<\/span><\/p>\n

A Bitcoin ETF (Exchange Traded Fund) is an investment fund that is listed on the stock exchange and offers<\/span> the possibility of investing in this cryptocurrency without having to buy it<\/b>. As Oriol Blanch explains, “for institutions and more traditional investors, it is a way of entering this market without the need for custody of the asset or through an exchange such as Bitvavo.”<\/span><\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
