Here are the prizes you can win, how to collect them, and how much tax the state keeps.<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Since 2013,\u00a0<b>\u2018La Grossa de Cap d\u2019Any\u2019 draw is held every 31 December.<\/b>\u00a0A draw created by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.loteriesdecatalunya.cat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Loteries de Catalunya<\/a>\u00a0with the aim of taking advantage of the popularity of the Extraordinary Christmas Draw held throughout Spain, to have a Catalan raffle, the first autonomous community to have a Christmas lottery, which benefits our territory.<\/p>\n<p>Every year\u00a0<strong>1<\/strong><b>00,000 numbers are put on sale, from 0 to 99999, with a total of 50 series<\/b>, five of which are in electronic format. The price per ticket is 10 euros, and they can be bought at the usual Loteries de Catalunya points of sale or in some supermarkets. The draw is broadcast live on TV3 at around <strong>12:55 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><b>The prizes<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>The \u2018Grossa\u2019 of 2023 maintains the normal distribution of 5 big prizes, with the following retributions for winners:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>The first prize\u00a0<\/b>of \u20ac200,000 per ticket, \u20ac20,000 per euro played.<\/li>\n<li><b>The second prize\u00a0<\/b>of \u20ac65,000 per ticket, \u20ac6,500 per euro played.<\/li>\n<li><b>The third prize\u00a0<\/b>of \u20ac30,000 per ticket, \u20ac3,000 per euro played.<\/li>\n<li><b>Two fourth prizes\u00a0<\/b>of \u20ac10,000 per ticket, \u20ac1,000 per euro played.<\/li>\n<li><b>Three fifth prizes\u00a0<\/b>of \u20ac5,000 per ticket, \u20ac500 per euro played.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Prizes expire 90 days after the date of the relevant draw and are subject to the usual lottery winnings taxation. In this case,\u00a0<b>prizes exceeding \u20ac40,000 must be taxed<\/b>, after which 20% of the amount received must be paid.<\/p>\n<p>You can collect prizes of\u00a0<b>up to \u20ac120 at any authorised establishment<\/b>\u00a0that has a terminal, although these outlets can optionally pay prizes of up to \u20ac1,999.99. You can also collect rewards of \u20ac50 or more in cash or by bank transfer at CaixaBank branches or at the Loteries de Catalunya Customer Service, Information and Prize Payment Office at Carrer Enric Granados, 33, Barcelona.<\/p>\n<h3><b>How to invest the money<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Depending on the amount of the prize and our economic situation, the winnings can be used to cover the odd hole and little else. Still, if we are lucky enough to have healthy personal finances, we have\u00a0<b>different investment options.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Given the levels of inflation in recent months and the low returns banks are giving us on our deposits, it may be tempting to choose investment options that give us a higher return.
