At this time of year, the consumerist excess of Black Friday is combined with Christmas and Epiphany shopping. Gemma Vallet, director of 11Onze District, visits the Energia programme and makes us reflect on how we can adapt our consumption habits to enjoy the Christmas holidays in a more sustainable and environmentally conscious way.<\/b><\/h3>\n

Food, gifts, and travel are part of our consumption habits all year round, but this festive season lends itself to excessive consumerism. Even so, <\/span>enjoying Christmas traditions does not have to be at odds with conscious consumption<\/b> that is in line with our principles.<\/span><\/p>\n

As Vallet explains, we need to make the effort to “<\/span>move towards more responsible consumption because of the impact it has on sustainability<\/b>“. Money is simply a tool of exchange to acquire what we want and\/or need.
