Raul Arribas, Chief Technology Officer of 11Onze, highlights in an interview for Fintech Talents the radical change in the fintech model compared to traditional banking. The 11Onze executive will repeat as a speaker in a session focused on crypto-assets as part of a new event on embedded finance organised by Fintech Talents.<\/b><\/h3>\n

“There is no better way to get to know your customers than to address them in a specific community”<\/b>, says Raul Arribas, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of 11Onze about the model of this fintech aimed at Catalans, in an interview during the <\/span>FTT<\/span><\/a> Embedded Finance & Super-Apps 2022. Arribas was one of the speakers at this event organised a few weeks ago by <\/span>Fintech<\/span><\/a> Talents, a platform that brings together more than 200,000 professionals and entrepreneurs from the fintech ecosystem.<\/span><\/p>\n

The CTO of 11Onze highlighted the commitment of the community of users of La Pla\u00e7a, which “is everything for us”, and <\/span>emphasised the role of financial education so that each customer can choose the most appropriate products according to their circumstances<\/b>. On the 11Onze model, Raul Arribas added that “it tries to be very close to its users to really understand their needs, so that we can create products and services that are especially good for them, not just for us”.<\/span><\/p>\n

A revolutionary change of model<\/b><\/h3>\n

Arribas remarked this fintech represents <\/span>a radical change of model with respect to traditional banking<\/b>, which “in the last 10 or 20 years has broken the trust of many customers” because they have not thought about the users when trying to sell certain products, but rather about the bank’s profits. In contrast, 11Onze’s model, as Arribas explains, is based giving knowledge to its customers so that they know which of the products offered by the fintech through its super-app fit their needs.<\/span><\/p>\n

“It is very refreshing” for customers to go from a situation in which they see the products offered by traditional banks as “a trap” to “having an institution that works completely the other way around”, which does not try to shoehorn them into products, but instead has a series of good products and simply asks the customer to “come and choose the ones that are right for you”, Arribas explains.<\/span><\/p>\n
